A Few of Our Friends:

Larson Racing
Crazy For

Hello. My name is Valerie, and I'm a Cars-a-holic.  I am powerless over this problem, and I freely and unashamedly admit that I don't even want to stop.

Disney-Pixar's Cars is my all-time favorite movie and along with my love of the movie itself has come an obsession with things related to Cars.  It all started with a diecast Lightning and Sally (my daughter's fault) and has grown to include all of the things you see here, and more.  There are things that I have forgotten to photograph that will have to be added later, I'm sure.

My family thinks I'm crazy, with the exception of my son who has a milder case of the disease. He is my enabler, going with me as we haunt the local stores in search of the latest diecast releases. He allows me to sit out front, hunched down in the seat of my nondescript Dodge minivan, watching behind dark sunglasses while he goes into the stores and checks the pegs, shrugging his shoulders in resignation upon finding only pegwarmers.

I hope my friends on the Cars message board enjoy my little album.  They are the ones who feed my addiction by keeping me up-to-date with what is new in the world of collectibles.  Right now my son and I are in hot pursuit of the most recent diecast releases.  Those of you who share my addiction will be able to tell from the photos what is still missing from my collection.

New pics added June 3, 2008:
A handy use for an old Craftsman toolbox!

It all started with diecast:

From there I moved on to the "harder" stuff:

My ticket stub and the movie and bonus DVD, of course.

The Art of Cars book

My desk phone.

Lightning McQueen clock to keep me on time.

Pictures and signs for the walls of my basement office.

Binders, notebooks and folders.

Pens, pencils and a stretchy book cover.

Markers, a Sally eraser pencil and a pouch to keep
them all in!

My handy dandy flashlight in case of a power shortage.

Trade you my bologna sandwich for your P B & J!

Everybody needs Pez!

A cozy throw to curl up in while I watch the movie.

Various scrapbooking supplies.

And of course, no collection would be complete without
some bath bubbles!
